Helpful CAD Services
Like any other professional field there are a handful of different CAD services that are available. There is CAD services offered both to the newcomer to drafting and to the corporations who need things designed. Some of these services are incredibly complex and expensive while others are somewhat simple and incredibly cheap. The industry wouldn’t have grown to where it is today without these CAD services and the consultants who provide them. From teaching to reviewing designs there are literally hundreds of different CAD services.
The most common and often times cheapest of CAD services is teaching. Learning how to use CAD software can be incredibly difficult and with the hundreds of variables and dozens of menus it can be incredibly overwhelming to a new drafter. There are really three different kinds of tutoring when it comes to CAD services. The first of the three is books and tutorials. There are hundreds if not thousands of tutorials written by professionals and hobbyists alike. These can be found online and purchase in book form from any technical bookstore. The second type which is usually more expensive than a book is to be taught online. There are various courses on drafting that are taught either through video or through chat clients and they can range anywhere from twenty to two hundred dollars. Lastly there is live tutoring. Whether it’s hiring an industry professional to teach you the finer points of CAD software or simply enrolling in a class at a local community college, these CAD services are usually the cheapest of the bunch.
The other CAD services are usually much more expensive but are provided for much more complex tasks. The most common and most expensive of these CAD services are freelance drafters. Often times companies who don’t need full time salaried drafters will bring in designers to help them with a specific project. Both the toy and automotive industry do this quite often while. Another common service is to bring in specialty reviewers who will go over any designs with a fine tooth comb and point out flaws. This will often times save the corporation money by allowing them to hire junior drafters and only have to pay to bring in a senior one to review the work, instead of paying one all year long when he is only needed for one month. These CAD services are usually quite expensive but it also takes a great deal more of know how to fulfill them.
From teaching to freelance there are hundreds of different types of CAD services. If you’re a business or just a hobbyist there are services aimed at you. There may even be services you didn’t know you needed until you looked. While they might not be for everyone and at times they can be expensive they are certainly something to look at. Much like the CAD software itself, CAD services are just another tool out of many that a drafter can employ to get the job done.
